Naish Sigma Kite Advantages

 

The Naish Sigma range of kites has a radically re-shaped leading edge. The new Naish Sigma shape moves much of the center canopy area behind the tow point.

The result is a kite that delivers significant performance:

The angled centre section of leading edge keeps the lifting surface of the kite behind the tow point even when the kite is flying at low angles of attack (depowered) making the kite extremely stable. This also reduces the movement of the centre of effort which results in even bar pressure regardless of the kite angle.

Naish Geo-Tec

The new Naish Geo-tech construction incorporates straight segments in the leading edge from strut to strut keeping canopy tension constant. Wind pressure is not necessary to maintain the canopy profile, and at low angles of attack Geo-Tech keeps the canopy from collapsing. By maintaining a consistent aerodynamic leading edge Geo-Tech provides a wrinkle free canopy giving the kite a large de-power range and unsurpassed stability where historically kites with a large de-power range have experienced distortion

Naish Sigma Water Relaunch

When Sigma kites are on the water with the leading edge facing down the reduced area of contact compared to a conventional bow kites allows the kite to be almost instantly re-launched. During water relaunch the kite pivots on either shoulder point. The rapid recovery gives the rider confidence to try new moves with out the worry of loosing time and ground.

Improved Rate Of Turn

TThis illust The Sigma wing flexes from the center of the kite during turns utilizing 50% of the canopy area as opposed to a conventional bow Kite that uses only 30%. This allows the kite to turn much faster while retaining a consistent feel through the turn.
